Our History

WebDev Foundation was founded based on the common story of many youth in Cameroon.

Context (Why)? The African countries are confronted for several years with the problems of underdevelopment and the governments (in place) put themselves ready to work and secure the living conditions of the future generations. From Summer 2011 Project in Bangoua: The most important thing I achieved is to adapt myself quickly in a totally different (working) situation than I’m used to. There were some moments in which I found this was very difficult, but I think that I achieved a lot in terms of going on, staying positive and adapting quickly to new situations and different cultural attitudes. Besides that, I trained my educational and presentation skills, as well as my improvising skills when I had to think of a quick solution if something went wrong or didn’t work out the way I expected….

First of all, I can now better explain about malaria, HIV/AIDS, cholera. I’ve realized how the information that I had was little. Moreover, I did not know much about cholera before, but now I feel like I’ve become almost an expert of the disease. I had never known that how one person can get easily infected with cholera just by drinking contaminated water, food and even by standing near and talking to someone who has already got the disease. Preparation period before the project was also a learning process for me and it helped me a lot learn a lot…
